Buddha & Kimono Series
To E Costa, the precision and boldness of Japanese culture enshrined in the Kimono is poetry in motion, a dance of the world, so to speak. The Buddha series was born out of E Costa’s visits to Ladakh, a place that emanates an unique timelessness that is the essence of Zen. Two entirely different spaces and series, bound together by the silent wisdom of two ancient cultures.

Mixed Work Gallery 1
E Costa’s mixed media approach to contemporary art brought him naturally to abstraction’s door. His travels, that moved through different variations of socio-cultural differences led to a radical displacement of self. Through the years, his art moved to a very personal arrival to the fringes of finite experience. Here, he dances with differences. Elliptical natural forms of clouds and flowers became one of E Costa’s signature motifs on the road to artistic discoveries.
